There is a parking lot in the main building. From the station to the back. It seems worrisome, but seven or so was stopped ... and. I think that there will be free on weekdays as soon as possible. <Correction> I'm sorry. It was 6 cars.
I do not know, so I do not understand ?
Yes
There is Tororo soba.
Small little place hence gets a little crowded at times when busy. Food was quite nice and delivered promptly.
Best Soba in broth I've had in 10 years
Delicious soba. Cozy place. But dinner finishes at 7pm
the best soba noodle i ever had. stayed 2days in Hakone and i had it twice! please order the cool noodle instead. so tasty and i hope i can visit again soon!
Best soba I have ever had!
Beautiful location by the river & bridge and cute shop. They have hot and cold soba. The green veggies are surprisingly delicious. The ladies who work there are always so kind! We look forward to coming here and will probably eat here every time we visit Hakone.
Don't get the hype. Not exceptional to us. Something in the dipping sauce both my son and I was allergic to. My lips was itchy and he cried right away as his body was itching. Service and atmosphere was great though.
Fantastic soba..... Good value.Be mindful of you are driving, lack of parking options
Fantastic tasting soba noodles and base! I saw the long line of Japanese locals and knew this was a must try...I wasn’t wrong! Atmosphere was cosy and tight.
Usually around 30 minutea of waiting time. First, come in the cashier, write your name. then they call your name. They usually call only once or twice, so better to wait nearby the entrance.
Great quality soba, great view from the second story, but a bit pricey for the volume you get.
Great cold soba. Usually a wait to get in, be sure to arrive with time to wait and out your name on the list. The staff does not really speak English but they do have an English menu.
That's the best soba in my life. Tampura is excellent. I love it.
The best soba you’ll ever have. Line up can be huge, so make sure to go early, we went there at 11am and had to wait just 10mn but from 11:30/12 it’s string really crowded. The restaurant is really small, there are only a few seats, all staffs are old really nice lady, service was great.
Great Sansai soba with mushrooms in a savory broth
Their hot soba is the best and the staff are very friendly and speak english
Nice soba and shrimp tempura. Very cozy place. Excellent lunch.
Soba was great. Not as much as modern soba restaurant which may offer better selection but, old school is cool. I am liking it. Eating at a cozy restaurant. Depending on time, may have to que up..
Great soba. Not so great tempura. I expect more when in Japan.
I’ve never had better soba noodles. Also, the location and views are extremely charming!
always filled with people and a bit tight in the restaurant but the food has great quality.
Another famous restaurant for Soba noddles in Hakone, however it’s nothing special? Their signature yam noodle tastes very plain, some people said it’s the best soba they ever had ...maybe it’s the only one they ever had so it’s of course the best??
Very good food I would definitely recommend a visit here. We put our name down but we're seated within 5 minutes. The staff were were friendly and spoke just enough English to get by. We sat up stairs at a shared table. But there was floor seating as well. If you can sit down stairs it looked a bit nicer near the river. If you order the prawn tempura I would advise the one not in the broth as the batter gets soggy (obviously).
Smooth ramen. Love the old Japanese background music. Very charming place.
Great soba and nice view
Great stuff, my english-speaking wife loved sitting on the floor while the waiters brought her the food!
If you have time you must try this place. Food, service and location all 5 stars
Good menu, and if I'm not mistaken you can see river if you sit next to the window
Very nice place to eat Japanese soba, with a nice view through its windows.
5/5 stars. Had the prawn tempura soba. so good... didn't wait long to be seated for a Monday lunch.
Solid soba experience - we were provided with the English menu and ordered the egg-chicken hot broth option. Be sure you are aware if you're ordering hot or cold. We waited about 30min for our table and had a nice view of the river on the 2nd floor, and even if we hadnt been seated at the window, the main tatami seating area (Japanese style with shoes off on the 2nd floor) had a unique vibe as well.
The seats facing the river are great during summer, you can feel the breeze while eating a plate of cold soba noodles. Food wise, so-so. Waitresses were slightly rude (shockingly, in Japan!). Be prepared for a queue.
Food was great.Atmosphere was also great.Price was great. If only they were friendly, I’d give full 5 stars.
I generally do not like soba, but this place is pretty good.
Japanese traditional soba noodle restaurant. Their signature is soba noodle served with grated yam soup. If you like grated yam soup here would be good but if you have never tried it, it might taste a bit bland. Also, the price is for "tourists" and you shouldn't expect good hospitality.
Good soba at good price
Best Soba I ever had. You can taste the buckwheat in the Soba and the broth is so tasty, I drank every last bit of it! Both hot and cold Soba were good. I tried the tempura udon while my husband n kids tried the cold Soba. Well worth queueing for and the decor of the place makes you feel like you travel back in time. Do not miss this if you are in Hakone!
excellent soba! wish i could eat this every day.
Great! Delicious. Don’t come for the service, come for the food. And food is great here. We had cold sobo with egg and hot sobo with tempura shrimp. Both were delicious. Definitely worth visiting.
The soba was the best I have ever had... if you are traveling to Hakone, this is a place you must go. Very busy, but that is because it is the best!
Their soba texture is different. Their famous menu is the grated yam with raw egg soba. Their tempura set is the boom.
Amazing soba place in Hakone. Large menu variety and great quality.Good first stop after you get off the train at Hakone station.
Soba noodle in hakone is one of the food you should try
Really excellent soba spot. Closes at 7pm, so go early. Service was great for us, unlike what other customers have been posting. Not a spot to sit and chat after your meal, as other people are waiting to eat. It gets quite busy after 6PM. Soba noodles are pretty standard, but the tempura shrimp was big, hot, and fresh. Chicken soba was cooked to perfection. 4 stars for food, 5 for atmosphere. For 2 people with a bottle of beer, total was 2900Â¥Bonus: interior architecture was really beautiful, like a traditional Japanese home.
Good soba, nothing exceptional.
Amazing food. Service was great — they were so kind to us being English speakers. Food was beautiful: dashi broth is light but full of umami and the soba noodles are fresh and delicate. Highly recommend for anyone passing through Hakone!
